In the centre of the village you will find our four-star superior Hotel Edelweiss & Gurgl, the perfect base camp for active and relaxing holidays with all the family. Good to know
Easy arrival in Obergurgl
Travelling to and from Obergurgl at the end of the Ötztal Valley is easy. From Innsbruck it is just 1.5 hours by car, while Germany, Switzerland and Italy are all nearby. Those keen to leave the car at home and enjoy an environmentally friendly holiday will find excellent public transport links as well as a skibus service in the resort.
There are good high-speed international rail connections to Innsbruck. From there, the guests can take the train to the railway station Ötztal Bahnhof at the entrance to the valley.

Doorstep skiing in Obergurgl
The Hotel Edelweiss & Gurgl has not only its own sports and equipment hire shop but also a personal ski storage room for guests staying at the hotel. Simply leave your skis in your personalised locker overnight and take them out the next morning before stepping out onto the slopes right outside our hotel.
Just a few steps from our front door you will find the Hohe Mut and Rosskarbahn cable cars. Ski-in, ski-out saves a huge amount of time in the morning and at the end of the day as well as meaning there is no need to carry around equipment and wait in line at the lifts. Perfect for a great day out and about in the mountains!
