As the sun slowly sets behind the Ötztal Alps, the action continues on the pistes of Obergurgl-Hochgurgl. Once a week the resort opens selected slopes in the evening hours for an unforgettable floodlight skiing experience. These runs can be accessed using the Festkoglbahn cable car next to the Hotel Edelweiss & Gurgl.
Each Monday the cable car stays open into the evening and whisks skiers and snowboarders through the night sky to the floodlit slopes in the resort.
Couples will love the romantic experience of moonlight skiing, while children and teenagers can try out the new skills they have learned during the day at ski school. A special experience not to be missed!

"Stop off, breathe in the clean air and gaze up at the stars high above – night skiing is an activity you, your partner and your family will remember for many years." Scheiber family, E&G hosts
Night skiing offers guests the opportunity to experience some of the best slopes in Tyrol's most snowsure resort from a new perspective. Powerful floodlights illuminate selected pistes from top to bottom as the moon casts its pale light on the mountains above and the stars twinkle high in the sky. Up here at 2,000 m there is almost no light pollution, so stars hidden from view down in the valley shine brighter than ever.
Night skiing is offered throughout the season. Check out our offers for holidays at the Hotel Edelweis & Gurgl in Obergurgl-Hochgurgl.
Tobogganing enthusiasts can look forward to the highest toboggan run in the Ötztal Valley! The run, which starts at the top of the Hochgurglbahn I cable car, is floodlit every Thursday evening. There is a Scheiber Sport shop at the bottom of the cable car, where guests can hire toboggans.
Don't miss out on this opportunity to experience the resort of Obergurgl-Hochgurgl by night.
