The Hotel Edelweiss & Gurgl at the end of the Ötztal Valley has a long and proud tradition as a stylish 4*S hotel guaranteeing remarkable moments. In winter 2020 we decided to give our hotel a new look & feel with a major facelift both inside and out. We are delighted with the result and look forward to sharing it with you.
You shouldn't judge a book by its cover, but you certainly can judge the Hotel Edelweiss & Gurgl by its facade. We have given our hotel a new look with natural wood and understated touches reflecting the style and quality which awaits inside.
In 2018 the Hotel Edelweiss & Gurgl was connected to the environmentally friendly heating plant in Obergurgl. The hotel has also installed new insulation throughout the building and improved the heat efficiency of the roof in order to further reduce energy consumption.
The rooms & suites overlooking the centre of the village have been completely redesigned and refurbished with new bathrooms, floors, furniture and facilities. The result is more comfort and more space to relax in the heart of the most snowsure winter sports resort in the Alps.
We have also created a series of new suites on the fifth and sixth floors with fabulous views of the surrounding mountains.
We have given our Glacier Spa a complete facelift. Guests can look foward to a new look indoor and outdoor pool in a stylish and relaxing setting.
Further highlights include a brand new whirlpool and a large steam room. The perfect place to relax after a long day out and about in the mountains!
On the first floor of our hotel we have created a brand new fitness club which is connected to the spa area.
It offers plenty of space for yoga, pilates, stretching and strength training as well as cardio fitness training using the latest state-of-the-art machines.
Our new-look reception and lobby now offers even more space for guests checking in and out as well as those keen to talk to a member of staff. The redesign means our reception area is a meeting point where you can wait for friends while you enjoy a drink.
Our day bar has also received a new look. Sit down, relax and sip on a cool drink as you watch the world go by.
